Just got word via email from Pastor Eric Stone that our 4th campus now has a location to launch! Our grand opening at the Downer’s Grove campus will be EASTER Sunday, April 4 at 10:30am at the Elite Sports Complex at 6360 South Belmont Road in Downers Grove, IL!
This whole process of finding the ‘right spot’ took [...]

Someone has said that “opportunity only knocks once”. I don’t know about that, but I’ve heard my pastor say that “the opportunity of a lifetime must be seized in the lifetime of the opportunity”, and I’ve got 3 different opportunities that must be seized now, lest we miss them completely:
1. This Sunday at CLC-TP is [...]

Right after our Men’s Fraternity session this morning (not too late for you to join us – we’re just now getting to the good stuff – every Saturday 7:30-9:00 a.m.), I’ll be playing host to the CAPRO USA annual board meeting.
For those who don’t know, CAPRO is an indigenous missions agency based in Nigeria that [...]

I was asked about our multiple campuses and their history on Sunday, so let me explain. More & more churches are going multi-site these days, and the ‘experts’ say that trend will only continue in the future. It only makes sense, because we can reach more people for less money, by leveraging the resources we [...]

Well, it’s official….we kicked-off the initial recruitment for the launch team last Sunday, and soon we’ll be able to say, “CLC-Lisle”!
For those of you who haven’t been following this rapid development, here’s the 411:
Pastors Eric & Kristen Stone have been digging it out in the Lisle area for about 6 years, starting a church from [...]

Oops – a new first this week: not a single question for me to answer in this forum. Maybe next week.
Meanwhile, this IS the deadline for any question that you’d like to submit to General Georges Sada who will be our guest at all 5 services this weekend at all our campuses. If there’s something you’d [...]

We’ve all used that term when we meet someone from our hometown, etc., but I’m thinking of how the internet is shrinking our world. Earlier today I had a phone call from a 52-year old church planter in Tacoma, WA. He basically just wanted to know a little more about us and explained that he [...]

Someone asked about the meaning of “five-fold ministry”, which is a term often used these days.
First, thanks for finally asking a ’softball question’ that I can easily answer!
The term gets its origin from Ephesians 4:11-13 where the various ministry gifts that Jesus has given to the Church are listed: apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers. Since [...]

It was neat to stumble across some other south surburban pastors at the Exponential conference in Orlando today: Tim Harlow from Parkview Christian Church in Orland Park and Jul Medenblik from New Life Church in New Lenox. Tim has been a friend for many years, and I’ve watched with admiration as Parkview has zoomed to [...]

The biggest problem with conferences like the one I’m attending this week is information overload.
It’s great being here with Kevin and Amos; the weather is absolutely spectacular (sorry, I know I shouldn’t have included that info) and each conference session has been right-on-the-mark, practical & useful stuff that will no doubt help CLC, but right [...]
