Sunday reflections
What an incredibly wonderful, painful, fruitful and draining day this has been – all at the same time:
- I can’t imagine, understand or describe the pain & grief of CLCers Mark & Cheryl Faustin of our Tinley Park campus, who lost their 21-month old daughter, Kristiana yesterday in a tragic accident in their driveway.
- I also don’t think we could possibly have orchestrated such an incredibly appropriate and timely message for today than the one brought to our Tinley campus by our guest speaker, Paul Cowell! If you weren’t present, I would urge you to go to our website to view or listen to it later this week (it should be up by Tuesday at the latest).
- Oh yeah, several people prayed to receive Jesus today, including perhaps 8 or more in the last service – I never get tired of seeing people come to Him!
- Pastors Doug & Shanna Neal reported an incredible “open heaven” experience during worship at our South Bend campus today, when they literally worshipped for about an hour, and as a result, Pastor Dan Johnson (who was their ‘March Madness’ speaker today) was released to flow in the prophetic and ministered with powerful impact to their entire congregation – what a turnaround we are experiencing in South Bend!
- Finally, my wife preached in Shorewood today about “Kingdom Anointing” and then was led by the Lord to do what our pastor calls a “Fire Tunnel” as the Holy Spirit ministered to people there for over an hour-and-a-half at the close of service!
We’ll get the information about Kristiana Faustin’s funeral on our website as soon as those details are finalized – probably by Monday evening – go to www.clctoday.org

My heart is certainly breaking for Mark & Cheryl. This is a time for the body to minister to body. How can we serve this family?
I wholeheartedly agree regarding Paul Cowell. His transparency in personal tradgedy provided a dispenser through which God could bring healing, salvation & restoration to our CLC family. You were right, we could not have orchestrated that ourselves. Only God.
Rejoicing in what’s going on in the woods & at the bend!
March 16th, 2009 at 3:31 amHello,
Yes, there has been a lot of death here lately. Our family has had two deaths in the passed three weeks, my brother-inlaw brothers passed then his daughter drown in the river that was where I was last week. Now our CLC member had a bad thing happen.
We have to be thankful every day for what we get out of life.
Thanks.
Be Blessed,
March 16th, 2009 at 6:50 amOur service at CLC South Bend was amazing! The Holy Spirit filled the place and changed people’s lives. Thank you Pastor Dan for your part in that awesome service.
My prayers are with the Faustin family as well as the CLC Tinley Park family.
March 16th, 2009 at 10:56 amSo sorry to hear the lost of Mark & Cheryl’s baby… I pray the peace of God over that household in Jesus name.
Pastor Chris did an excellent job as usual and God placed his stamp of approval on it with his presence. Yeah “Tinley Get Ready For Sure”…
I wish I could visit SouthBend to experience what God is doing out there. Sounds exciting!!!
